Seven years ago, Luo Jianhua, General Manager of TOYONIA Industrial Lighting (Guangdong) Co Ltd, considered to withdraw from the small household appliance industry, where homogeneous competition was becoming increasingly serious. However, he was inspired by his friends to get into the LED packaging field.

At that time, the LED industry was standing at a mature stage of growth, where the competition was also fierce for Luo as a "latecomer". But he believed there was still a great market space once the new packaging technology was applied.

Seeing the potential business opportunities, Luo made up his mind to start a cross-border business and he founded TOYONIA in late 2012. Experienced many hardships in the early stage such as product performance instability, challenges on technologies and "high quality product not selling well", Luo finally ushered in the booming growth of the industry. So far, TOYONIA has more than 40 patents for its innovation.

"In recent years, the company's output value increases by almost 50% every year, and we have over 1,500 clients, including domestic renowned company NVC Lighting. Some international lighting giants also show their cooperation intention with us," said Luo, adding that a Global 500 lighting brand has reached TOYONIA for cooperation.

In early 2019, TOYONIA moved into a 12,000-square-meter new plant, with production capacity greatly improved. The company is also planning a photoelectric technology research institute. Luo said he is striving to make TOYONIA among top three in the flip-chip packaging industry within three years.
