Zhongshan launched the first English web portal of the city, the Zhongshan English Website, on June 26. The website, supervised by the Publicity Department of Zhongshan Municipal Party Committee, organized by Zhongshan Daily Newspaper Group and co-organized by ZSNEWS.cn, Zhongshan Media Group, is a new platform for external communication and exchanges of Zhongshan.

As an important window to present Zhongshan's image to foreign countries, the Zhongshan English Website (en.zsnews.cn) will provide information about Zhongshan in English to show the world the highlights and achievements of the city's economic and social development, to actively publicize Zhongshan's sound investment and business environment and to create a more open and transparent international image in order to attract more individuals and businesses at home and abroad to come to Zhongshan for investment, employment, tourism and cooperation.

The Zhongshan English Websit adopts an international design style, featuring both simplicity and solemnity, in a bid to demonstrate the cultural connotation of Zhongshan. It caters for the aesthetic standards, cultural concepts and online habits of overseas users. By far, five major columns have been set up, namely About Zhongshan, News, Business, Culture and Services. The website also offers a Search function, facilitating information retrieval. Based on the reading habits of overseas users, the website has both PC version and mobile version.

Since its trial operation in January 2019, the Zhongshan English Websit has compiled and published more than 2,000 pieces of information with respect to Zhongshan's current politics, economy, history, culture, and people's livelihood, with a total of about 480,000 Chinese characters sorted out and translated into English. It presents a happy, vibrant Zhongshan City with profound cultural heritage and prosperous economy to the world.
