A total of 88 middle school students and teachers from Hong Kong on June 25 were invited to Zhongshan Polytechnic to participate in the 2019 Vocational Education Camp (Hong Kong). The camp will last for 4 days, and will be aimed at allowing Hong Kong students to experience vocational education in Mainland China. The camp will also give students a better knowledge of the development of featured enterprises in Zhongshan and the corresponding vocational techniques.

At the opening ceremony, Hong Kong visitors were introduced to the operations of Zhongshan Polytechnic and vocational education in Zhongshan.

"I usually work part-time in restaurants during my vacation. This time in Zhongshan I chose to study and experience catering industry operations. Through my participation here, I should be able to increase my knowledge and gain more experience," said the 17-year-old Lau.

During this camp, four courses including catering industry operation, hotel service & operation, theoretical and practical aerial photography, and clothing embroidery have been open to students. In the meantime, student-teacher exchange meetings for those participants from both Zhongshan and Hong Kong have been taking place. Additionally, company tours for the students have been organized.
