Akeso Biopharma, located at the National Health Technology Park (NHTP), won the "Outstanding Biomedical Enterprise Award" on June 21 for its innovative difunctional antibody product development platform and pipelines. Since its founding in 2012, Akeso Biopharma has developed over 30 new monoclonal antibody medicine projects, many of which are domestically and globally pioneering.

Similar to Akeso Biopharma, Guangdong GLM Digital Technology Co Ltd was founded by overseas returned doctors. GLM introduced a suite of advanced coloring medium production technology, featuring a number of multi-functional automatic coating production lines. It is now the major production base for domestic mid-to-high-end coloring mediums.

In recent years, NHTP has gathered a group of companies that focus on scientific research platform construction and have impressive innovation abilities. It now has 141 various scientific research platforms, including 28 province-level engineering centers. It is NHTP is becoming a pillar of innovative technology development.

The technological achievements generated on these platforms have been turned into new ways of productivity for enterprises. The technology park is creating a new modernized path for enterprise innovation. One of these innovative enterprises at the technology park is Zhongshan Belling Biotechnology Co Ltd.

Belling Biotechnology now has 7 product development laboratories. In recent years, it has carried out plenty of innovative activities on bile acids and derivatives, as well as plant extracts including rosemary and centella extracts. As of the end of December 2018, Belling Biotechnology had applied for a total of 46 patents and has already been granted 14 patents for invention. Properly utilizing patent rights has accumulated a direct profit of about 200 million yuan for the company.
