The first intelligent "model toilet" in West District has been put into use in the Cuijing Cultural Square. "You can listen to music when you go to toilet. This makes you feel a kind of enjoyment," said some citizens after their experience.

Clean, comfortable, spacious and bright inside, the intelligent public toilet looks like a stylish small book store in appearance. It has sensor speakers and multiple sharing charging ports for mobile phones. Next to the ladies washroom, there is also a unisex toilet as well.

The staff said the toilet is equipped with a chromatic aberration resistance induction automatic flushing system, an automatic ventilation and deodorization system, and an intelligent light sensing system, with the functions of quick ground cleaning and ultraviolet sterilization, people counting, and etc.

According to the district housing department, West District has officially launched the public toilet renovation (smart equipment) project in March. It planned to invest 1.87 million on the intelligent reconstruction of 5 public toilets, hoping to turn these previously humble public toilets into good-looking, multifunctional, comfortable public facilities.
