The 2019 Greater Bay Area Macao Youth Internship Program (Zhongshan) kicked off on July 1. A total of 15 Macao young people came to the Zhongshan Menjoy Industrial Park to take a 12-day internship at 9 companies in the E-park business incubation base.
These young people are from University of Macau, Sungkyunkwan University, East China Normal University and other domestic and overseas colleges and universities. They visited the investment promotion center, the E-park business incubation base and Heytz Information Technology Co Ltd in the Zhongshan Menjoy Industrial Park.
Miss Fong, who will graduate from University of the West of England this year, is having an internship at cosmetics company Houbencao as a copywriter. Fong admits that she is eager to start a business, although her major is forensic science. "I have yet no plan for my business, but I have decided to start it up in the Pearl River Delta region. So I came here to Zhongshan to take an internship, hoping to learn more from others in innovation and entrepreneurship and have a better understanding of Zhongshan's business environment and policies. These may help me with my choices in the future."
Fong is full of expectation for the internship. "The internship positions are arranged specially according to our job intentions. Copywriting is a job that I am interested in, and I hope to exercise my planning and writing skills during this short internship," Fong added.
During the internship, the Macao youth will visit Museum of Dr Sun Yat-sen, Zhongshan Juxiangyuan Food Co Ltd and Zhongshan Aquatic Products Culturing Base and have an opportunity to experience the local culture such as Chinese Tunic Suit and Yakou Piao-se (a traditional festival performance).
