An agricultural products promotion meeting celebrating the 2019 "Guangdong Poverty Alleviation Day" was held from June 29 to 30 in Zhaoqing Sports Center. Shenwan Pineapple that was introduced to Jiangchuan Town of Fengkai County made its debut at the meeting and became one of the most popular products. 

In 2016, Shenwan Town of Zhongshan City launched the targeted poverty alleviation program in Yufeng Village and Wuhe Village in Jiangchuan Town of Fengkai County, Zhaoqing City, and started to grow Shenwan Pineapples in Jiangchuan Town in line with local conditions since 2017.  

Currently, Yufeng Village and Wuhe Village have seen a good harvest of pineapples and are selling them through Tik Tok, e-business platform "Shopping in Fengkai" and franchise stores.

Data shows that Jiangchuan Town is estimated to produce about 10,000 kg of Shenwan Pineapples this year. The Fengkai county authority will continue to promote Shenwan Pineapple planting across Jiangchuan Town, hoping to develop it into a special tourism town featuring pineapples.
