Liang Huahai, Li Guangming and Mai Tiantai, main compilers of the Xiaolan Town Chronicles (Xiaolan is known as the "Chrysanthemum Town", or "Ju Cheng" in Chinese), are still fighting at the forefront of local culture inheritance after being retired for many years.
The three elders recently complied a precious historical photo anthology of Xiaolan, the Images of A Century, which presents the history and culture of the Ju Cheng in a visible, reader-friendly and summarized manner.
"As the witnesses and recorders of the development of Xiaolan, we have collected a large number of valuable historical photos through various channels for years, whereupon we came up with an idea to organize them into a book," said the 76-year-old Liang Huahai. "This was supported by many warmhearted neighbors and benevolent companies."
The Images of A Century is divided into five chapters, including around 600 historical photos. Some of these photos have never been displayed or published before.
