The first self-service inquiry agent for personal credit reports was officially opened to public on July 19. It is located at the Zhongshan Branch of Postal Savings Bank of China in the Zima Benteng Square, East District. The public can inquire their personal credit reports with their valid ID cards.

On that day, relevant staff of the Zhongshan Central Branch of the People's Bank of China debugged the machine at the Zhongshan Branch of Postal Savings Bank of China and announced its official opening to the public. Citizens can inquire for free from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm (excluding national holidays).

"It should be specially noted that only the self-owned valid ID Card can be used for inquiring at the self-service inquiry agent for personal credit reports. Inquiry with the Military Officer Certificate, Soldiers Card, Passport, Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents, Foreigner Residence Permit, magnetic-loss ID Card or used name inquiry with Household Register should be handled at the credit reference service counter of the People's Bank of China",  a bank worker said.

Another 5 self-service inquiry agents for personal credit reports will be opened in the urban area, Torch Development Zone, Xiaolan and Tanzhou towns.
