The second steel boxed cofferdam for the Lingdingyang Bridge of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge was successfully laid in place on July 24. This part of the project was followed by the over-water span construction.

A total of four giant steel cofferdams are required to station the bearing platform of the Lingdingyang Bridge. Both east side cable tower cofferdams have been laid in place. The two west cable tower cofferdams are expected to be laid in place by the end of this year.

The next part of the project involves sealing the bottom of the bearing platform for the east cable tower. The procedure involves pouring concrete while pumping water from the steel cofferdams. After creating a dry construction environment for the bearing platform, construction of the main bearing platform will begin. These assemblies are expected to be completed by the end of 2019.
