The Zhongshan Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on August 7 held the 2019 Zhongshan City Propagation and Releasing Activity, with the theme of "Increasing Aquatic Biological Resources and Building Ecologically Beautiful Zhongshan City", at the Jiaming Power Plant in Tsuihang New District. [Photo by Miao Xiaojian]

Zhongshan representatives will carry out 4 releasing activities in nearby coastal waters in Nanlang, Xijiang River and Xiaolan Waterway this year. A total of 29 million fish and shrimps of 7 species including crucian carp and grass carp will be released. These activities will conclude in the near future.

During the activities, fishery law enforcement officers will also conduct patrols to safeguard the release waters by cracking down on illegal fishing thereby eliminating serious damage to fishery resources.
