Before the 3rd Chinese Disability Prevention Day, Zhongshan Disabled Persons' Federation joined hands with Zhongshan Health Bureau, Zhongshan Minsheng Public Service Center and Zhongshan Youth Palace to carried out a publicity activity on the morning of August 23, with the theme "Preventing Disabilities, Starts from the Origin of Life". Two areas were set at the activity venue. In the performance area, Zhongshan Association of the Blind, Zhongshan Association of Persons with Physical Disability and Zhongshan Association of the Deaf had prepared a series of instrument playing, singing, sign language show and other performances.

In the public welfare bazaar area, Zhongshan People's Hospital, Zhongshan Bo'ai Hospital, Zhongshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and many service organizations for disabled persons set up their booths to provide consultation and free medical diagnosis to citizens.

More than 800 citizens participated in the activity, during which they communicated with medical workers, disabled persons and learned about disability prevention.
