Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangdong Province recently published the province-wide air and water environment quality report for the first 7 months of the year.

Maoming, Shanwei and Zhanjiang were the top 3 cities with good air quality from January to July this year in Guangdong, while Guangzhou, Foshan and Qingyuan were the last 3. Zhongshan's air quality in July ranked 7th province-wide, and ranked 11th from January to July .

In the first 7 months of 2019, the controal rate of 78 centralized drinking water sources in use in prefecture-level cities or above in Guangdong was 100%. From January to July, Zhongshan ranked 9th in Guangdong in terms of urban water environment quality. Zhongshan rose by 5 places year-on-year in water environment quality ranking, and ranked 1st in Guangdong in terms of water quality improvement.
