Chen Xudong, Secretary of Zhongshan Municipal Party Committee, on August 28 met with Ng Siu-lai, Chairman of Uniao Geral das Associacoes dos Moradores de Macau (UGAMM).

UGAMM is the first Macao-based non-governmental organization office that sets up representative office in Zhongshan. Since its establishment, UGAMM Zhongshan Office has provided high-quality and efficient social services to Macao residents who have started their own businesses, lived, worked, bought houses and traveled in Zhongshan. In July this year, the Zhongshan office was upgraded to UGAMM's Guangdong office.

According to Chen Xudong, Zhongshan will work with the Macao Special Administrative Region government to build a Guangdong-Macao comprehensive cooperation demonstration area. In particular, Zhongshan will make active efforts to promote exchanges and cooperation in people's livelihood in the Greater Bay Area through the "Greater Bay Area Connection Project". We hope to continue to deepen our win-win cooperation with UGAMM, build bridges and ties for exchanges and cooperation between Zhongshan and Macao in various fields, constantly improve the level of social governance, and enhance the common well-being of the residents of the two places.
