The 2019 New Recruit Pre-service Education & Training Presentation and Farewell Ceremony was held at Zhongshan National Defense Education and Training Base on September 4.

New recruit representatives performed military drill and military boxing at the ceremony. An enlistment declaration was made by a representative of the new recruits.

The new recruit pre-service training this year was scheduled between August 30 and September 4. During the 6-day training, 540 new recruits received systematic education and training at Zhongshan National Defense Education and Training Base, where they experienced the military life and army atmosphere.

This year, Zhongshan has fulfilled the conscription task assigned by the Guangdong Conscription Office. Up to 77% of the new recruits are college students, and 19% are college graduates.
