The Bo'ai Road-Yintong Street Interchange project, which is 95% completed, is now undergoing tunnel decoration and will be open in October.
Bo'ai Road is an east-west main road in Zhongshan's central urban area. Once the interchange projects on Yintong Street and Cuijing Avenue are completed, Bo'ai Road will become a full-line expressway. Upon completion of the two projects, there will be no traffic lights on Bo'ai Road.
The Bo'ai Road-Yintong Street Interchange is located at the intersection of No. 4 Bo'ai Road, Yintong Street and Langui Road. The project adopts the structure of Bo'ai Road running underneath Yintong Street. The total length of the project is 1,040 meters, of which 240 meters is underground, with three lanes on both sides.
The construction supervisor stated that the wall in the tunnel will be decorated with landmark elements of Zhongshan, such as chrysanthemums, the Zhongshan Skywheel and the Sun Yat-sen bronze statue. The decorative work, road work, and landscaping are all getting their finishing improvements. The interchange is planned to open to traffic in October.
