The Elevator Installation and Maintenance Technique Competition of the 2019 Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition started at Zhongshan Polytechnic on September 23.

In the coming three days, 94 athletes from 47 teams representing South Korea, Laos and China will compete on the same stage by completing the set-up, installation and debugging of the linkage devices of artificial elevators and elevator doors. They will also assemble mechanical parts, and solve troubleshooting issues.

Contestants will compete in a highly simulated industrial environment - a fully realistic industrial installation to test the team's elevator installation, commissioning, optimization and operation skills, as well as their teamwork and planning abilities.

Two teams will represent the hosting institution, Zhongshan Polytechnic, in the competition.
