Flags were flying on both sides of the Xindi Bridge in Huangpu Town around 10 am on September 26. The main line of the Xindi Bridge linking the east and west sides of Huangpu Waterway was officially opened to traffic.

The Xindi Bridge has a total investment of about 140 million yuan. With a total length of 993 meters, the main line starts from Xinliu Road in the west and ends at Aocheng Section of Aoxin Road in the east.

The main line of the bridge adopts the standard for grade II highway (and urban trunk road), the main bridge has two-ways, four lanes with design speed of 50 km/h and width of 28.5 m.

The bridge will greatly alleviate the traffic congestion on both sides of Huangpu, and will further strengthen the traffic capacity of Huangpu, Fusha and Sanjiao towns.
