Wu Jiayi from Dongfeng Town, Zhongshan, won the women's 46kg taekwondo final at the 7th Military World Games, beating her Canadian rival by 41:7.

Born in Zhongshan in 1996, Wu Jiayi once studied in Zhongshan Dongfeng Central Primary School and Zhongshan Sports School, and she is a non-commissioned officer directly recruited from college.

After the award ceremony, Wu Jiayi posted at the Moments: "Forge ahead without wasting youth! Thanks to the organization, thanks to the team, and thanks to my coach! Thanks to every teammate and team doctor who has contributed silently behind my back! Raise the national flag and play the national anthem! I made it!"
