At Guishan Middle School in Sanxiang Town, division of labor in its spacious kitchen is done systematically. The whole process from washing, cutting, preparing dishes, cooking to serving can be viewed through a monitoring video. Teachers, students and parents can see the cooking process, which ensures food safety at school.

According to the Zhongshan Administration for Market Regulation (ZSAMR), food safety in Zhongshan remains stable with a good momentum; the "Transparent Kitchen" program covers  81% of key restaurants in the city, and up to 99.7% of large restaurants, school canteens and other key catering organizations are under the Grade-B or above food safety management.

Moreover, the ZSAMR also strengthens social supervision on food safety, carries out a "universal restaurant inspection" campaign that invites citizens to participate in food safety inspection, and will create a "Sunshine Food" APP to achieve a comprehensive online disclosure of food safety information.
