November 12 marks the 85th birthday of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School. On November 9, a series of activities were organized under the theme "One Day in Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School, Sentiments Remain for Life" to celebrate the anniversary. 

The school was decorated on that day. Around 9:00 am, in front of Sun Yat-sen's white marble statue, teachers and students of the school's art troupe began the celebration with affectionate songs and beautiful dances.

The school on that day was full of people singing and dancing. The alumni from home and abroad who participated in the school celebration activities enjoyed themselves while remembering the good times at school with their classmates.

The inauguration of Sun Yat-sen Culture Exchange Base and the opening ceremony of the Sun Yat-sen Culture Decade Photo Exhibition (Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School Station) were organized at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School on that day. Untill now, Zhongshan has established the first 10 Sun Yat-sen Culture Exchange Bases.

A commemorative postcard and a set of two envelopes were also issued for the first time to celebrate Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School's 85th birthday on the day.
