Zhongshan people's Double 11 shopping data released

This year's Double 11 shopping spree took place on Monday, and Guangdong province ranked first nationwide with an all-day trading volume of 31.9 billion yuan, up 26% from a year earlier. Zhongshan's all-day trading volume reached 1.3 billion yuan, up 30% from last year, ranking 6th in the province.

Those born post-80s and post-90s are the main consumers in Zhongshan; they account for 75% of the total. The post-00s generation mainly bought pants, post-90s and post-80s mobile phones, post-70s and post-60s air conditioners, and post-50s sofas, respectively.

From the top five favorite commodities of all age groups, the post-00s shopped to meet their own needs for clothing and electronic products, and the post-90s were busy indulging themselves by buying home decor products. It was found that a considerable number of people from the post-80s, 70s, 60s, and 50s generations have been busy decorating their  homes.

This year, over 500 million Tmall users participating in the Double 11 global shopping festival. This was an incredible increase of 100 million users over last year. A total of 299 brands achieved a trading volume of over 100 million yuan.
