A press conference was held in Zhongshan on November 21 to introduce the upcoming "Panda Cup" Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Baseball Softball Championship 2019 and Slow Pitch Softball League.

The two games are scheduled to begin on November 28 in the "Zhongshan International Baseball Town".

A total of eight U12 and U18 youth baseball teams from Zhongshan, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Hong Kong, as well as eight slow-pitch softball teams from Macao, Hong Kong, Zhongshan, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Huizhou, Dongguan and Zhuhai, with about 500 players, coaches and referees, will participate in the games. 

In 2019, Guangdong Panda Sports Culture Industry Co Ltd invested 100 million yuan to build the Panda Memorial Stadium with international standards, and expanded the Panda Sports Training Camp with a sitting capacity of 600.

At present, a number of high-end events have taken place in the Panda Memorial Stadium, including the softball competition of the Second China National Youth Games, the 2019 National Junior Softball Competition, the 15th China College Baseball and Softball League Final, and the just concluded 2nd BFA Women's Baseball Asian Cup.
