The Zhongshan Public Resources Transaction Center on November 18 issued the tender notice of "Investigation and Design of the New High School Project in West District of Zhongshan City", evincing that the project was about to enter the actual investigation and design phase.

The tender notice shows that the new high school will be situated on the west side of Cuijing Road in West District, and covers an area of 143.54 mu (about 9.57 hectares) with a total investment of 711.97 million yuan. The government-run high school, with 90 classes, could enroll about 4,500 students, based on the design requirements of provincial grade-one high schools.

The project includes the construction of educational and teaching facilities, research facilities, living service facilities, outdoor sports facilities, as well as water supply, drainage, power supply and other supporting public works.

As stated by the previous announcement issued by the Zhongshan Development and Reform Bureau, the project was scheduled to begin in December 2019 and end in June 2021.
