Life expectancy of registered population in Zhongshan reaches 79.92 years

Zhongshan Center for Disease Control and Prevention recently released the "Surveillance Report of the Causes of Death for 2018". 

According to the report, the standardized death rate of the registered population of Zhongshan was 347.02/100,000 in 2018, a decrease from the data of 2017.

In 2018, some 9,868 deaths were reported among the registered residents of Zhongshan City. This number included 5,729 males and 4,139 females.

The reported infant mortality rate was 2.58‰, down slightly from 3.75‰ in 2017.

The top five causes of death suffered by the registered population in Zhongshan were malignant tumor, heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, respiratory system disease, and injury.

In 2018, the life expectancy of the registered population was 79.92 years, slightly higher than that in 2017. The life expectancy of those now registered is 77.03 years for men and 83.20 years for women.
