Zhongshan on December 2 organized a theme publicity campaign to celebrate the 8th National Traffic Safety Day through a cultural performance. During this event, 13 composers of the theme song "China Traffic Safety Day", 6 municipal traffic safety civilization demonstration units and 10 safe drivers were commended.

The first "122 National Traffic Safety Day Theme Songs" music album composed by the Traffic Police Detachment of the Zhongshan Public Security Bureau was released on that same day. This album is a collection of 11 songs, selected from 122 original songs by experts and judges.

Since the beginning of this year, Zhongshan has made remarkable achievements in various aspects, including the investigation and rectification of hidden traffic accident dangers, intelligent transportation, 26 "convenience-for-people" streamlining administration and delegating power traffic management measures, strengthening supervision, and optimizing services, the establishment of traffic safety counseling stations, service stations and civilized units, the upgrading of traffic safety publicity and education bases, and training traffic cavalry teams. 

Until date, Zhongshan has added nearly 120,000 motor vehicles this year, with the total number exceeding 1.502 million. However, the number of traffic accidents and deaths has dropped by 8.65% and 15.79% respectively, compared with the same period last year.
