A total of 11 teams, 145 professional, retired and amateur players from Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Dongguan, Huizhou, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing and the host Zhongshan were invited to participate in the tournament. 

This is the highest-profile, best and most entertaining badminton tournament with the widest coverage in Zhongshan. It was held to deepen contact and communication between different places in the Greater Bay Area and strengthen the bond with one another.
