The sudden death of star Godfrey Tsao at the scene of the program making has aroused widespread concern in society, as well as public concern about first aid equipment in public places.

The Xiaolan Town Red Cross Society recently installed AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) devices in Dasin 118 Plaza Metro Mall and Parkway Plaza respectively, and conducted skills training and first aid demonstration for relevant staff of the malls.

AED can be used to not only automatically analyze the electrocardiogram of patients with cardiac and respiratory arrest, but also give them electric shock when necessary. An AED is a medical instrument that even non-professional medical personnel can also use to rescue patients with sudden cardiac death.

"Based on incomplete statistics, the average number of sudden cardiac deaths caused by cardiac arrest and respiratory arrest in China is as high as 550,000 cases per year. With the help of AED, a life can be saved within the precious four minutes," said He Shengzong, a staff member of the Xiaolan Town Red Cross Society. 

According to the Zhongshan Branch Red Cross Society of China, the city plans to set up emergency rescue stations step by step in factories and enterprises in high-risk industries and crowded public places between 2019 and 2023, so as to finally achieve full coverage of emergency rescue stations in key areas across the city.
