Zhongshan Federation of Trade Unions (ZSTFU) has set up a special fund for the prevention and control of pneumonia resulting from infection by the novel coronavirus. Recently, it has allocated 2 million yuan to comfort the frontline workers in Zhongshan, including those from fields of medical treatment, public security, transportation, sanitation, logistics, and material support, who are fighting in the prevention and control of the epidemic.

On February 4, the ZSTFU members divided into three groups and went to the production enterprises of consumer goods in Torch Development Zone, the Huabai Garbage Transfer Station of Zhongshan Mingcheng Environment Company, and the Bo'ai Delivery Department of Zhongshan Post in East District to express solicitude and encouragement to the vast number of basic staff fighting on the anti-epidemic frontline.

In order to strengthen the prevention and control of the epidemic, ZSFTU recently issued a notice that trade unions at all levels are required to increase their fund investments, set up special funds for prevention and control related work, and to take the initiative to understand and master working and living conditions as well as the physical and mental health of frontline epidemic prevention and control staff and their families.The trade unions are required to carry out various forms of activities offering love and warmth to affected staff and their families, and to unite and mobilize the majority of employees to contribute to trade union strength to fully win the battle of epidemic prevention and control.
