The Information Office of Zhongshan People's Government on February 10 held a press conference on novel coronavirus prevention and control. As of midnight February 10, there are 56 confirmed cases across the city.

According to reports, the new "WeChat Service System of Registration and Mask Reservation" developed by technicians organized by the Zhongshan Government Services and Data Management Bureau was launched on the same day. Citizens can make registrations and reservations by following the WeChat accounts of "Zhongshan Administrative Service Center" or "Zhongshan Release".

The mask reservation service in Zhongshan City adopts the method of "registration first, reservation second", which means citizens should first fill in relevant information on the platform, and then make reservation during the reservation period. Only after successful reservation the purchase can be made.

Starting February 11, reservations can be made from 9:00 to 12:00 every day. Presently, the system is only open to Zhongshan mobile phone users. All citizens can purchase masks at their selected pharmacy with the QR code within 5 days from the day after a successful reservation. Up to 5 masks can be purchased for each successful reservation, and the reservation is only valid within the time limit.

Citizens who have successfully reserved masks shall be required to wait for another 5 days before they can make reservation on WeChat platform again.

There are more than 500 offline pharmacies available in the system for citizens to choose from. These pharmacies are geographically located all over all the townships. Zhongshan City will distribute a certain number of masks into these pharmacies every day according to their inventory.
