At present, Zhongshan is experiencing a return peak. According to relevant regulations, people who return from the place where the epidemic occurred and have fever and cough symptoms must go to the nearest hospital for examination.

In order to distinguish COVID19 patients from ordinary fever patients, Sanjiao Hospital established a temporary medical observation place set up by 21 modular container rooms, with a total of 36 beds.

"Those returning from the place where the epidemic occurred will stay here for a few days, waiting for results of throat swabs tests and other relevant tests, before deciding whether to carry out further treatment, concentrated isolation or self-isolation at home," said Lai Shengkun, vice director of Sanjiao Hospital.

Lai Shengkun indicated that the isolated observation area is disinfected twice a day with chlorine-containing disinfectant. The hospital canteen provides three meals every day for the people isolated for observation.
