A total of 13 Zhongshan municipal parks including Jinzhong Laek Park and Zimaling Park all reopened to the public on February 21. Residents entering the parks must wear masks and take their temperature. Square dancing, playing, singing and other activities are currently not permitted in the parks.

It is found that many citizens in the parks, together with family members, came out to enjoy sunshine and flowers which they had missed for a long time. Most citizens prefer to go to Jinzhong Lake Park for hiking.

Yang Weiming, director of the Zhongshan Garden Management Center, said in an interview that the closing time of 13 Zhongshan municipal parks had been advanced to 5 pm every day. For better prevention and control of the epidemic, the security staff have stepped up patrols in the parks, and the cleaning staff would also do more cleaning and disinfection of public toilets and garbage cans.
