Around 4:12 am on February 27, Guangzhou Railway Station suddenly filled with bustling crowds. After traveling for 29 hours and 1,600 kilometers, the K4829 train from Zhaotong, Yunnan province to Zhongshan pulled at Guangzhou Railway Station. Zhongshan's largest poverty alleviation and work resumption plan transported these employees using special trains. The human resources and social security departments of 22 townships in Zhongshan city sent 31 pick-up buses to send 636 migrant workers back to their townships. These workers were all recruited from Zhaotong.

Zhongshan has implemented a "one-on-one" special employment service for key enterprises. Government and enterprises have organized more than 620 special buses (including special trains) to pick up more than 20,000 employees.

As of February 25, over 1.3 million employees had returned to work in Zhongshan, with a job resumption rate of 61.7%. It is estimated that by the end of this month, there will be another 130,000 workers returning to their posts in Zhongshan. By then, the job resumption rate will reach nearly 70%, which can temporarily alleviate the shortage of labor.
