The disposal capacity of the central group comprehensive waste disposal base and the northern group comprehensive waste disposal base both increased by 1200 tons/day last year. With the completion of the two bases' expansion projects, Zhongshan city's garbage disposal capacity has reached 5,460 tons/day.

It is learned from the Zhongshan Bureau of Construction that the southern group comprehensive waste disposal base will also be expanded, with the incineration power plant treatment capacity of the expansion project reaching 2250 tons/day.

At present, the second phase (expansion) of the incineration power plant of the southern group waste comprehensive disposal base project is carrying out preliminary work and is scheduled to start construction in June this year and be put into use by the end of 2021.
