Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the famous Guangzhou cartoonist "Xiao Lin" has created and posted dozens of "anti-epidemic" works online, gathering tens of millions of hits on the Internet. His works are easy to understand and rich in philosophy, helping to relieve the pressure of front-line medical staff, encourage the patients, and warm people's hearts.
Miss Mao, a nurse of the Department of Infection in Zhongshan Second People's Hospital (ZSSPH), printed out Xiao Lin's cartoons to strengthen patients' confidence in fighting against the virus and staying strong through medical treatment.
This warm-hearted story was noticed by Xiao Lin. He posted in WeChat to try to find Miss Mao, hoping to contact her and send her a group of cartoons.
On the afternoon of March 4, with the help of many kind people, 100 warm-hearted cartoons were sent to the medical staff of ZSSPH.
"Everyone should make their own contribution to fight the epidemic. It is incumbent upon me to do everything I can for the front-line medical staff," Xiao Lin remarked.
After receiving the cartoons, Miss Mao specially picked out two of them and sent them to Liang, a young 18-year-old patient she had been concerned about. Miss Mao said many patients had became more positive and optimistic after reading the cartoons.
