Cao Fuquan, secretary of the Party Committee of Fusha Town, Liu Shenglin, deputy director of the Zhongshan Transportation Bureau, and Wang Qiang, general manager of the Zhongshan Transportation Development Group, jointly supervised the construction progress of the Fusha Section of Huangpu Expressway on March 9.

According to the Zhongshan Transportation Development Group, the main line of the Huangpu Expressway project will be put into use by the end of the year, which will further promote the connection between the Zhongshan central area and the towns of Dongsheng, Fusha and Huangpu in the north, as well as enhance the communication between Zhongshan and Shunde District of Foshan City.

Huangpu Expressway, with a total investment of 2.697 billion yuan, spans a total length of 18.96 kilometers. It runs via Huangpu, Fusha, Gangkou, and Dongsheng towns from north to south, starting from Ronggui Outer Ring Road, Shunde District, Foshan City and ending at Changxin Asphalt Cement Co Ltd in Dongsheng Town, Zhongshan City.

The project combines the main road and the auxiliary roads, with two-way six lanes on the main road and two-way four lanes on the auxiliary roads. The main road is constructed according to first-class highway standard, with a design speed of 80km/h. The auxiliary roads are designed according to the standard for urban secondary roads, with a design speed of 40km/h.
