On the evening of March 13, some 50 rock breakers were operating simultaneously at the bottom of the overpass bridge of Qiwan Avenue in the South Outer Ring, marking the official start of the demolition of the bridge.

The next day, with the successful demolition of the overpass bridge of Qiwan Avenue in the South Outer Ring, the construction of Jinzishan Interlinked Overpass, a key transportation hub project in Guangdong Province, started at full capacity.

According to the project manager of China Railway 18th Bureau (Group), the Jinzishan Interlinked Overpass project, including the underground part, has designed a total of 7 floors of interchange (6 floors of interchange above the ground and a sunken tunnel below the ground).

After the completion of the project, the accessibility of Zhongshan's traffic network will be greatly improved, and the communication between Zhongshan and Zhuhai, Jiangmen and other cities within Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will also be effectively enhanced, which is of great significance for accelerating Zhongshan's integration into the Greater Bay Area.
