On the morning of April 12, some 50,000 disposable medical masks "assembled" at the Zhongshan Convention Center. These first batch of epidemic prevention materials, which carry Zhongshan's concern and friendship for international sister cities, will soon be sent to Japan's Moriguchi City, Nagasaki City and Canada's Markham City, helping the local governments and people with their epidemic prevention work.

At the beginning of this year, the domestic epidemic situation was severe. Many international sister cities, prospective sister cities, friendly organizations and international friends sent sympathy to Zhongshan, and expressed their concern and support for Zhongshan citizens. Liaison officers of the Nagasaki Municipal Government in Japan and the Honolulu Municipal Government in the United States also donated respectively a batch of protective materials to Zhongshan City.

Now the COVID-19 epidemic runs rampant in many countries around the world, and Zhongshan learned that the epidemic situation in countries where Zhongshan's sister cities are located has been getting more serious. The Zhongshan municipal government quickly sent letters of sympathy to them, expressing concern to the people of these cities, and conveying the confidence to join hands to fight the epidemic and overcome the difficulties together. At the same time, Zhongshan City is urgently raising epidemic prevention materials and is actively providing help within its capabilities.
