At present, the construction of 5G base stations in Zhongshan city is in full swing. Major enterprises have accelerated the construction and strive to finish annual task with only half a year. With more base stations completed, 5G network coverage in Zhongshan city is just around the corner.

As of April 21, a total of 1,800 5G infrastructure facilities for Zhongshan Communication Tower have been completed, and the total number of 5G equipment installations by operators have reached 1,350. Zhongshan city's target for the first half of this year is to build over 3,300 base stations.

At present, the number of individual users of 5G network in Zhongshan city has already exceeded 300,000. It is expected that individual users will surpass one million this year, and 5,800 5G base stations can be built in Zhongshan city.

In addition, major network operators have also accelerated their exploration of 5G applications.

Wang Wei, General Manager of the Network Department of China Telecom Zhongshan Branch, said that the company currently has related applications and cooperation projects in 5G smart police services, 5G smart medical treatments, 5G high-definition live broadcasts, etc. Additionally, Zhongshan Telecom actively accelerates the application of 5G's practical uses, including intelligent smoke detection, intelligent online broadcasting, intelligent gas detection and etc, bringing convenience to life.
