On April 28, the Zhongshan Public Transportation Group officially put 27 special school buses into operation. On the same day, a total of about 600 third year senior and junior high school students from 9 schools were provided with direct pick-up services.

"For each trip, a bus would be disinfected three times. The first time is before pulling out. The second time is immediately after students get off. The third time is a comprehensive disinfection after returning to the station yard. For the next trip in the evening, the same disinfection routine would be conducted again." Driver Li Qinghao said. The vehicle was not used for other lines during the operation to ensure effectiveness of the epidemic prevention and control measures in place.

It is learned from the Zhongshan Education and Sports Bureau that the special school buses will dynamically adjust their route and service numbers according to the needs of students and parents.
