On April 28, the Zhongshan Education and Sports Bureau announced its work plan for the 2020 senior high school entrance examination in Zhongshan city.

This year, the senior high school entrance exam will be postponed until July 20 to 22. The examination time of some subjects has been adjusted, and the total score of the senior high school entrance examination has been increased from 530 to 600.

Among them, Chinese, Math, and English remain unchanged, with a full score of 120 points respectively. All of the scores are included in the total score of the senior high school application. The proportion of points in physics, chemistry, history, and moral and law has been changed.

Each student will receive two scores of A and B categories corresponding to A and B enrollment plans, respectively. Among them, the category B plan can reach up to 20% of the total number of school enrollment plans, which is determined by each high school.

Starting from this year, the enrollment of art students in Sun Yat-sen Memorial Secondary School, Zhongshan No.1 Middle School, and Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Secondary School will be canceled, while other schools are allowed to continue to enroll art students. Enrollment of students with talent in sports will be replaced by sports team tryouts.

The senior high school entrance examination will still be arranged after the general knowledge course examination, and the admission numbers will remain unchanged. The application for the senior high school has been adjusted and the number of applications is increased.
