On May 26, the 4th session of the 12th Zhongshan Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) was held at the Zhongshan Convention Center.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of the 12th CPPCC Zhongshan Committee, Qiu Shuhong made a report to the Consultative Conference. He summarized the work done by CPPCC Zhongshan Committee last year from seven aspects.

He Cancheng, vice-chairman of the CPPCC Zhongshan Committee, made a report to the Consultative Conference on the progress of the proposal since the 3rd session of the 12th CPPCC Zhongshan Committee.

Over the past year, CPPCC Zhongshan Committee members, relative departments of the CPPCC Zhongshan Committee, and special committees have submitted 336 proposals and placed 261 cases on file. As of the end of 2019, all proposals have been completed, with a response rate, satisfaction rate, and basic satisfaction rate of 100%.

According to the agenda of the session, the election conference of the 4th session of the 12th CPPCC Zhongshan Committee was held that afternoon. The session elected Tang Ying as chairman and Yuan Yongkang as vice chairman of the 12th CPPCC Zhongshan Committee.

On that afternoon, the closing plenary session of the 4th session of the 12th CPPCC Zhongshan Committee was also held. He Cancheng reported on the collection of proposals during the session. As of 16:00 on May 26, Consultative Conference received 347 proposals from members.
