The Overseas Chinese Zhongshan Literature Award (formerly known as "Zhongshan Cup" Overseas Chinese Literature Award ) was established in 2009. It is currently the only public welfare literature prize for overseas Chinese (including authors from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan).
This year's event will offer a grand prize reward of 200,000 yuan (after tax), regardless of genre and theme. Three awards are for outstanding works, each of which could receive a bonus of 100,000 yuan; five for finalist awards, each with 30,000 yuan. All the prize-winning entries will be awarded trophies and certificates.
According to the work plan, the review work will be completed in June. After selection, awards are planned to be presented during this year's Zhongshan Book Fair. Due to the epidemic situation at home and abroad, the organizing committee will consider to hold the awarding ceremony online.
