60 Zhongshan medical staff sent to back up Baiyun Airport

A total of 60 medical personnel from various hospitals in Zhongshan city were sent to Guangzhou Baiyun Airport on June 8. They will work there on the frontline of epidemic prevention for 2 months.

They will work at the inbound health quarantine sites of terminals T1 and T2. "There is no time for anyone to hesitate, and luckily, no one did. It is our responsibility and mission to be selected from many other medical staff that are willing to work at the frontline," said Liu Jixu, head of the the team, adding that after arriving at the station on the same day and quickly having lunch, everyone took part in the pre-job training immediately.

Besides Zhongshan, Huizhou city also sent a total of 120 medical personnel to support Guangzhou Customs. Together with staff of Guangzhou Customs, these medical staff will carry out epidemiological investigations, nucleic acid testing, and other related work regarding inbound passengers.
