On the eve of the Dragon Boat Festival, the Home Care Center for the Elderly in South District, joined hands with the South District Elderly Association, Liangdu National Public Welfare Park and Fraternity Action Volunteers of Le Xin Volunteer Service Team, carried out visiting activities.

Thirty volunteers were divided into 5 groups to send holiday greetings to 53 key entitled groups, families with only a basic living allowance and low income, families with disabilities and the elderly, benefiting more than 200 people.

In addition to rice dumplings, paper towels, food and oil and other thoughtful gifts, volunteers also picked ripe lychees from Liangdu National Public Welfare Park and gave them to the needy elderly as gifts.

The lychee trees in the park are of many precious varieties, and were planted by former overseas Chinese for the old Huancheng Commune.
