Beiyou 26, the first large luxury aluminum alloy high-speed passenger ship in China built by Aulong Shipbuilding, a joint-venture owned by Jianglong Shipbuilding (a Zhongshan-based listed company), recently completed its 2-day trial voyage and returned to Zhongshan safely. It won unanimous favorable comments from the China Classification Society and ship owners, with all the operating parameters reaching or exceeding the original design objectives.

According to reports, Beiyou 26 was specially designed by Aulong Shipbuilding for Beihai Ennova Cruise Ship Co Ltd. It has a total design length of 70.6 meters, a molded breadth of 17 meters, a maximum speed of 34 knots, and a capacity of 1,200 passengers. Beiyou 26 set three records for the largest size, largest passenger capacity and the highest speed among passenger ships with same capacity built in China.
