Days before National Teachers' Day, the Guangdong Civilization Office and Department of Education of Guangdong Province announced the 50 "Most Outstanding Teachers" in Guangdong in 2020. Two teachers from Zhongshan were selected, including Ma Guoqing from Zhongshan Overseas Chinese Secondary School and Li Li from Yongmo Primary School in Sanxiang Town of Zhongshan City.

In April this year, Ma Guoqing,  went to Tibet under the Ministry of Education's "Supporting Education Program of 10,000 Teachers". That was the third time he set foot on the road to aid Tibet. In 2015 and 2018, Ma Guoqing served as a teacher in Medog Middle School and Gongbo'gyamda Middle School in Nyingchi City, Tibet.

Li Li, another outstanding teacher, was assigned to Fenghuang Primary School in Suijiang County, Zhaotong City in August 2019, serving as the temporary vice-principal for one year. In August this year, Li Li returned to Zhongshan after finishing her volunteer teaching. One month before she returned to Zhongshan, she still held lectures frequently and trained more than 600 teachers in total.
