The Sanitation Workers' Day Carnival, the highlight of the activities with the theme of "Tribute to Urban Environmental Workers and Co-building a Civilized and Beautiful Zhongshan", was held on October 25 in Zhongshan.

On the evening that day, a theme evening party was held in Zimaling Park. Images of sanitation workers were outlined by 350 drones, acting as a spotlight in the night sky.

A group of sanitation workers also received commendations that night, and the new faces of modern sanitation workers were represented to all walks of life through interviews, song and dance performances, recitations and choral performances.

Famous actor Zhang Guoli sent his best wishes to the sanitation workers in Zhongshan via a video. Artists Raymond Lam Fung and Chai Biyun, who were filming a TV series in Zhongshan, encouraged citizens to support sanitation workers and practice garbage classification with practical actions and safeguard the results of sanitation workers' labor.
