Lin Lin, , received a special international letter, which contained a president card and a thank-you note from International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach, saying "Thank you Lin Lin for your contributions to the development of the International Olympic Games".
This letter was sent from Lausanne, Switzerland, the "Olympic Capital", on December 20, 2020 and was delivered to Lin Lin on January 19, 2021.
Lin Lin said he had recently put forward some of his opinions to the IOC regarding art presentation and related designs for the XXIV Olympic Winter Games in Beijing.
Lin Lin graduated from academy of fine arts. He actively participated in Olympic art and design work during his college years. During the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, he was invited to participate in the planning of the Beijing Organizing Committee's special Olympic rings for the Olympic Games as an art consultant. He also participated in the creation of a series of uniquely conceived paper media works and won many international awards.
Lin Lin said it was a great honor to witness the transition of the three presidents of IOC in his career. Moreover, the IOC president card presented by Juan Antonio Samaranch, the International Olympic Service Contribution Award issued by Jacques Rogge, and the thank-you note and president card sent by Thomas Bach this year were each regarded as milestones throughout his career, which inspired him to keep moving forward.
