CCTV-7 reported the news that soldiers and citizens in Hebei were working together to fight against the COVID-19 epidemic days before. The video clip of Lin Ziyou, a young soldier from South District, Zhongshan, has aroused many enthusiastic responses.

Lin Ziyou appears at 1 minute 34 seconds in the report, seen dressed in a military uniform aiding the military hospital in setting up emergency tents outdoors.

Lin Ziyou, 20 years old, joined the army in September 2019 and then came to Chengde, Hebei province in May 2020 as a service support soldier.

In January 2021, Hebei has seen a rebound in COVID-19. For nearly half a month, Lin Ziyou has been on duty facing harsh temperatures, often hitting lows of minus 20℃. At present, his total working time has exceeded 500 hours, and he has been providing more than 300 people with temperature measurement and other services per day.

"Over the past few days, I have received many messages from leaders of the military office in South District and relatives and friends in my hometown. I will use these to keep up my motivation to help others," said Lin Ziyou.
